Day in San Francisco...

The heat was quite unbearable in The City but it was so much fun to spend it with business partners even if the purpose for being there was business.

Ok I do feel odd calling them business partners because I also consider them my friends.

I hope that everything will come through after this meeting. :) Can't talk much about the details just yet because I don't want to jinx it. It was so ggreat working with these people. Well, the photos will give it away. :D

After a day in chasing parking meter deadlines, driving about CoCo County I am so glad that I am home with the AC. It was also a day of venting and rreflection. I have learned to draw the line between business and pleasure. Professional and personal. a

I want to continue to do paranormal investigations and I should move forward to where my services are wanted. Management needs to do some mental spring cleaning but I wish them the best. As a very dear friend, they have always been in my prayers. I hope that my business decision survie our friendship.

Some sell them by the gram....

Some sell them by the cup.

The sun was setting and despite the mild summer day, the cool ocean air down the street was making me wish I brought a light jacket. We were in a parking lot behind the store. Away from the busy pedestrians of the main street. There was a black suv parked there but no sign of The Drop.

Then she emerged from around the corner. I waved at her and approached her.

"You got it?", I asked her

She opened up the back of driver-side door of the parked SUV and pulled out two stacks and I handed her the cash.

That was how The Deal went down.

I can smell the contents as I held the stacks close to me.

" Gigi, these cupcakes are amazing.", I said to my friend who just handed me two containers of her famous Guiness and peanut butter chocolate cupcakes. We agreed to meet behind the Angel Heart store for the pick up.

How'r you doin'?

Fairfield's very own Larry's Produce

I have been hearing about this place for quite some time now and I finally found myself at its unpaved parking lot one weekend.

Walking from the lot, I was still wondering what the buzz was all about. I saw a food truck serving Mexican food to some of the shoppers parked along side a green wooden one-story structure with a red "billboard" facade that reads " Larry's Produce".

When I finally got to the front, the place was hustling and bustling. Instead of shopping carts, I saw people pushing vegetable and fruit-stained wheel barrows full of vegetables and fruits. There were deep wooden bins of flava beans, peppers, cucumbers and eggplants - all of which are very cheap. Delicious pinapples and watermelons just stacked up on each other. Onions and potatoes for less than a dollar a pound. You can walk away with more than a bagful with just $10.00. Crates upon crates of apples, peaches and apricots. Corn selling for 5 for $1.00. I was left wondering why I never did my produce grocery here to begin with. Well first of, I must admit, I'm not that much of a cook. I love eating what's been cooked :) But someday, I will grow up and cook.

So what was I doing there even if I'm culinarily-challenged? I wanted to buy eggs - $1.50 for a dozen and I wanted to check the place out and accompany my friend. The fact that I was "shutter-happy" when I got there was an easy sell as well.

If you're from the 707 and its neighbors and you love to cook or eat what is cooked, this place is easy on the wallet albeit a little rustic but it is what makes it so charming.

Larry's Produce is at : 4606 Suisun Valley Road Fairfield, CA 94534

They are open from June thru December.

Benicia Craft Fair

One of these days I will work on a craft project beyond my regular scrapbooking and card-making projects. The day was sunny and a cool ocean breeze blows its way amongst the vendors and customers of Benicia's Main Street.

There were pottery arts, paintings, jewelry, wood art , fashion accessories and so much more. I was unable to go through all of it because we got there 30 minutes before closing time.

It's not the same without photos but..

I don't think I can take a photo especially with other people in it. People are strange with having their likeness taken.

Anyway, I was at Travis Airforce Base to do Zumba. It is an aerobic exercise routine that incorporates dance moves.Flashing their military card, my friend and I drove past the civilian (yes civilian) guards and headed for the light brown building which has a very impressive array of gym equipment, a huge track and a basketball court that is currently be remodeled.

It was great to have my heart pumping very happily. There was Hip Hop, Latin Ballroom , Bollywood and African pop. SO.MUCH.FUN.

And there were alot of goodlooking men and equally beautiful women in there - wow.

Hello blog world

I am starting this blog because I spend too much time in my head and I just want to open the floodgates to make room for more things in my head. :)
